Endorsement of ATFS Project from Plant-Based Meat Expert, Joel Gfeller
Joel Gfeller, ATFS’s plant-based meat advisor, shares his words of support.
Exciting times to see the evolution and converging pathways of industries. ATFS is looking to bring unique answers to the question of how to feed the worlds population by utilizing the most current technologies across all aspects of the supply chain. The basis of the company centers on ‘smart-farming’- a next gen approach that aims to utilize information and data to maximize quality, yields and profit and have the growing systems become autonomous over time. This is then tied into a decentralized platform for payments using cryptocurrency (Ethereum) to address the issues in food distribution. Finally, by incorporating research and manufacturing of plant based meats (novel proteins, processes and scale of manufacturing) they aim to bring the option of delicious plant based foods to areas -such as Korea- in which haven’t traditionally been known for highlighting “plant based meat” products- instead preferring traditional foods.
Personally, I find the utilization of cryptocurrency for use in consumer-packaged goods is novel. I do not claim to understand the depths of programming and knowledge required for this to happen. In honesty, this seems like a daunting and perhaps far reaching idea- yet I realize that nearly everything that has mattered and fundamentally changed course of human civilization has, at one point, seemed unbelievable.
What I also do believe is that making something tangible, like produce and consumer food, have innate value in something such as an ATFS token- there will be greater stability and inherent strength in the currency and exchange.
I am excited. We are on the top edge of a rollercoaster ride- looking to address the issues of the future- and about to move ahead at dizzying velocities towards changes that I cannot imagine or predict (but want to experience!!). I am excited to see so many diverse groups looking these agents of change, leading the charge and bringing the future to us all.
