A whirlwind effort in one of the world’s most delectably ambitious cities. This is by far not an exhaustive list of great food in NYC, but one that allowed us a little taste of the foodie culture in such a small time frame.

Stay in Brooklyn or Williamsburg. It’s close to everything you’ll want to do and right in the rising culture hub of the city.

Luksus, Williamsburg. Small modern dining by a new chef taught by the best. Delicious little degustation matched with craft beers from across the world.

Marlow & Sons, Brooklyn. 10 years and counting, serving up delicious bagels and treats to keep you moving in the morning.

Momofuku Noodle Bar, New York. David Chang does his thang. One of the city’s best Asian-inspired eateries.

The Frick, New York. The gallery that is a house that you wish was yours. Visit here in-between eating.

La Esquina, SoHo. Mexican food done so right, hidden by a takeaway front, underground, in a defunct train station. Doesn’t get any more NYC than that.

Delaney Barbecue, Brooklyn. Quick snack of brisket and beer puts you in the right mood.

The Ideas Rooftop, Wythe Hotel, Brooklyn. Stumbled upon this gem that showcases one of the most amazing views of NYC. Go and have a drink. This place is also filled with models of both sexes.

Five Leaves, Greenpoint. One of the few places in NY who “do” brunch well. Delicious eggs and avocado, and coffee skills to match.

The Meatball Shop, Brooklyn. Forget the meatballs. NYC is all about the ice-cream sandwich. These guys make the cookie and the ice-cream themselves, and let you craft your own combo for dessert.

Buddakan, Manhattan. Wasabi dumplings?! Cool vibes, amazing Asian food. Book ahead.

Bathtub Gin, Manhattan. And when you’re done with Buddakan, head to this hidden gin hub for a sneaky cocktail. Don’t let the frontage fool you.
