Christians are what Christians do.

“How Christian of them!”

“They are supporting which political candidate? How do they reconcile that with their claim to be Christian?”

What if we’re thinking about this stuff the wrong way? Suppose we are making a mistake by assuming that Christians all believe the same things. We contrast what we imagine they believe with their behavior. We then claim to have found hypocrisy. Could it be simpler than that? What if Christians are what Christians do?
