No. You shouldn’t have to censor yourself. If men can’t take a joke that wasn’t even directed at anyone in particular, then that’s their problem, and they’ve got no right making it yours. We’ve got free speech in this country for a reason. Even if they didn’t find your joke at all funny, this’s by no means a justifiable excuse for their immature and intolerable behavior. The fact of the matter is that your joke obviously forced these men to look at themselves in a mirror, and they didn’t like what they saw. So, instead of being completely honest with themselves, they decided to get all defensive about it. The short and sweet of it is, if your joke didn’t speak the truth, those men who were harassing and threatening you wouldn’t have had a reason to bitch in the first place. Just saying…….
