And Sid will suddenly become a YEC. I wish kids were able to hold MPs to account, but big meetings and rallies tend to only happen at (by)elections. There was a wonderful video of a Reception kid (4–5) that went viral on FB absolutely roasting Theresa May for the government’s treatment of homeless and disabled people; “If I saved up all my pocket money forever I could hardly even help one person, but you’ve got lots and lots of pocket money, Theresa May, and I think you should give some it to homeless and people with things wrong with them and stop being so nasty and horrible to them!”

She was wagging her finger at the camera and I have to say I cried. Politicians need to be torn off a strip by kids on a regular basis – preferably to their faces – because if a 4/5-year-old can understand what the government is doing is wrong, then it’s really very badly wrong.

I’m not joking. This needs to be a Thing, and it needs to happen regularly. Kids won’t let grown-ups forget anything, so there’s no fucking way an MP, representative, senator, or councillor can get away with lying.
