Pouring down in Autumn
The rain drops fell slowly. One by one at first and then showering down with a kind of vengeance. She didn’t notice the change in the atmosphere outside her room at first. But when she did, it filled her with such joy that she had to run out of her room into the porch. She watched the rain from there. Leaning against the wall, smiling faintly to herself, taking in the cold wind brushing her hair. It was twilight. The sky was a light shade of blue. She could see parts of it through the leaves of the trees in the courtyard. The yellow kanikonna flowers swayed in the wind. She liked that combination. The bright yellow flowers against the fresh green leaves. It was a good evening. Peaceful and calming.
