Midweek, Midcrisis…
More from the Andela Bootcamp
My previous post revealed a small peek into the world of software engineering for the uninitiated.
Here is a snippet about the latest in this aspiring developer’s journey.

Worry not, a day has 24 Hours
Human logic is used in writing programs and if to err is human, what does that say about the work we do?
I recently had a taste of an impossible seeming task. The only thing left to it was to keep going because to stop meant giving up, and nothing in this world will get solved if we don’t put work into it.
Over here at bootcamp, the Growth Mindset is prized. Especially so when one can easily get into frustrating tedium over a simple syntax error. It takes a certain dedication and commitment to grow in order to push past the blockers until you have a working solution. Even if that solution will take you hours or days to reach.
My advice is to just keep at it and have faith that the results will be worth it at the end. They often are, after all.
Just talk about it
Keeping silent won’t do you any favors when you’re working in a team. I can attest to sleepless nights that could have been avoided if I had just asked for someone else’s opinion and I’m certain the same can be said of my colleagues.
Start small and get used to communicating regularly with your fellows. The rewards will be endless and sweet.
Conclusion
This might seem like an abrupt ending but there’s more to come soon about the growth of an aspiring programmer!
Leave a comment and let’s have us a nice discussion about what to expect.
