The Hardest Pill to Swallow
One of the most difficult things you could ask a person to do is to let go of their pride. The act of humbling oneself, whether through active (or passive) humiliation or a sudden life-changing revelation can make or break a man. The difference is in what the person in question does afterward.
I’ve managed to progress into a second week full of more action that promises to tear me down and build me back up, bigger and stronger than before.
The process, however, begins with a bitter dose of reality. I have faults and only by exposing those faults can I begin to fill in the cracks.
The support from my teammates encourages me to make that final push and take the step that will lead to a better me. I will gladly toss aside any pompousness or self-delusions of flawlessness in exchange for that. Can you?
This week marks a beginning of a new series of challenges that I hope to face with the same attitude. In the coming days I hope to share more valuable lessons and stories that can inspire both you and I to new heights.
See you soon.
