Google’s Logo Updated

Google decided it wants to be more than just a search experience. One of the things that Google wants to do I think is be part and parcel of each element of digital life (and potentially more), making it much more exciting for everyone not just in the digital or marketing space but everywhere.

This comes on the heels of the Google restructure news with its new holding company called Alphabet. Google’s logo makeover — beginning with a new typeface called “Product Sans” is designed to look like the fonts seen in school books. They’ve kept the colors relatively the same through the years with slight tweak in the shade while the ‘e’ at the end is also tilted to pay homage to the unconventional side of Google. On mobile & favicons, the little blue “g” icon is gone and has been replaced with a four-color “G” that matches the logo

Just in case you didn’t know, this is the 6th time Google has changed its logo in the company’s 17-year history
