I really liked your example from moving to another that was completely different! Being in foreign countries myself, i understand the change of culture you have to experience to be accepted by their own. It was like you had to drop what you knew before and learn new things and new type of manners to “survive” ha. I also found your “having a boyfriend/girlfriend” comment interesting because it is a normal every day thing in america. No one is put down for it, its what people do. — just like we find older men being “given” young girls to marry in other society very “odd” here in America. I just never thought about it like having a girlfriend/boyfriend would be “odd” to other countries.
