I don’t buy the analogy of making SW development more equal to manufacturing.
A lot of unknowns in SW development can only be surfaced by actually doing the work. Ex: Some issues only surface in production. How do you prototype around that?
Dr. Gutteridge, I must respectfully disagree with you. Your arguments suggest that relational databases are a scourge upon the human race, but I would counter that, as always, humans are humanity’s worst enemy.
Relational databases aren’t faulty, humans are faulty.
