The importance of cold showers has been floating around the zeitgeist for a while now. I had a thought bubble up as a result of my daughter running out of the house without a coat, totally uncaring that the temperature is much lower than people enjoy:
Cold is just like hot. We can easily handle a hot or cold wave 30 degrees in either direction from our comfort level. The only thing that stops a person from enjoying a crisp cold breeze is how they feel about it (not how they physically feel).
I took a few cold showers last year. I’m convinced to take a cold shower in the morning and maybe I’ll make a habit of it for a while, taking it as you describe.
Thanks for the nudge.
