30 Days of AI — An Atomic Read on AI in 2023

Atomic Read
2 min readAug 2, 2023

What is this?

Atomicity means that everything gets done or nothing gets done. All-in, in tech terms. An atomic read in a computing sense ensures that a program will read something entirely, all at once, or it will fail to do anything at all. An atomic read in a human understanding sense represents the idea of fully absorbing and understand something, or not bothering with it at all. I created this project to commit myself to an atomic read on various topics in order to broaden my own horizons. I plan to vary both depth and breadth of exploration, but I endeavor to make my findings as accessible as my understanding allows.

30 days of AI

The first topic of my exploration is the new hotness in the tech world and an area I personally have been procrastinating dipping my feet into — generative AI. For the next 30 days I’ll be undertaking a challenge to explore, learn about, and apply AI tools to my life interests. I plan to spend each day for the next 30 days investigating a topic of interest under the generative AI umbrella and writing up my findings into short, digestible blogs. The goal here is to find ways to leverage existing AI tooling for everyday life while also learning a bit more about how it works. I’ll be limiting my time each day as well, which means moving rather quickly in most daily topics. If I miss something along the way, drop a comment and let me know.

Today begins the dive into my first atomic read on AI — #30daysofAI

About me

I am not a bot, I promise. I am, however, a strong proponent of self-learning, a veteran in many tech circles, an aspiring entrepreneur, and a perpetual student of many disciplines.
