Starbuck’s PSL is back!

Starbucks Pumpkin Spice Lattes campaign is back this fall and better than ever. On August 27th, the earliest release yet, The world-famous coffee shop brought back the Pumpkin Spice Lattes (PSL) to the stores and the campaign was off to a great start.

Starbucks posted to their Instagram on August 28th with the caption “Fall is here! Raise your PSLs if you are truly a Beleafer!” (https://www.instagram.com/p/B1txPlVHhJY/). Their “story” that they are sharing on all of the social media platforms is that it is fall and that means Pumpkin Spice Lattes are back! I recognized that the posts that Starbucks is posting about PSL are part of the campaign because they are saying it throughout each post. Fall is back, PSL is back and I ‘beleaf’ is one of the best slogans Starbucks has come up with. Because of the earth tones and the leaves in the posts that is when you know they are introducing the Pumpkin Spice Latte campaigns.

I believe that Starbucks really tries to connect with their customers by adding to some of the newer drinks that Starbucks has come out with recently such as the Cold Brew. Adding two of the best things that happened to Starbucks pulls in that much more people such as the tweet about rolling them together (https://twitter.com/Starbucks/status/1170335914909786113). I personally do not have an emotional connection to it, but I love, love, love PSL and will be buying the product especially because of knowing it is out due to the posts and the chatter about the drink. However, many customers do have an emotional connection to the drink and the overall campaign. I know many people posted on August 27th when the received their first PSL of 2019, posting about it saying “It’s finally Fall!” Seeing how connected customers are to the drink really brings out the importance and profit that Starbucks makes off of Pumpkin Spice Lattes.

The campaign is especially connected to Starbucks overall look. They are using fall colors to not only remind everyone that Fall is coming but Starbucks uses the earthy tones that really brings out the pumpkin part of Pumpkin Spice Lattes! That is why everyone and anyone is attracted to Starbucks during the Fall season. Knowing that Pumpkin Spice Lattes come out once a year makes the consumer of the drink wanting to get the drink while time is limited!

Pumpkin Spice Lattes Campaign is a true winner and I am a true Starbucks “Beleafer”.
