I was a chirpy girl
Playing, dancing and roaming around,
Searching for comfort with my inquisitive eyes
Delicate, fragile and weak I was,
But, then you came, my little star.
Holding you into my arms, I forgot my pain,
In that moment from girl to a woman, I became.
When your baby sounds struck my ears
I found my voice to comfort you my dear,
As your tiny hands touched my cheeks
I apparently fulfilled my dreams.
Whenever you cried, I sang for you,
Ah! So lovely it appears to you
Seeing you enjoy I felt so glad,
Your bursting laughter makes me mad.
From delicate, meek and submissive
I became courageous, agile and assertive.
