Today is Friday, the spring cold is about to end and I just made a Flat White, so things are starting to get better.

As usual, after my first sip of coffee, I opened the laptop to check what clip was scheduled on my YouTube channel for today.

And it is an interesting model, for which “unfortunately” I only have good things to say. The one and only (As a concept car it really was, just one) the Bugatti EB18.3 Chiron made by AUTOart at a 1/43 scale. And we will discuss this very nice and quite affordable model car in a bit, but first, let’s chat a little about Bugatti.

Who was Bugatti?

Bugatti is a luxury sports car manufacturer that was founded in 1909 in Molsheim, Alsace, France. Known for its exceptional performance, design, and engineering, Bugatti has established a reputation as one of the world’s most prestigious car brands. With a rich heritage and a focus on innovation, Bugatti creates some of the fastest, most powerful, and most technologically advanced cars on the road.

From the iconic Type 35 race car to the modern Chiron, Bugatti continues to push the boundaries of automotive design and engineering.

How about the EB18.3 Chiron?

The Bugatti EB 18.3 Chiron is a concept car developed by the French luxury car manufacturer Bugatti. First introduced in 1999, the Chiron was named after the legendary Bugatti racing driver Louis Chiron.

The car was designed by Fabrizio Giugiaro, son of the famous automotive designer Giorgetto Giugiaro, and featured a sleek and futuristic design that was inspired by aviation and Formula One racing.

Under the hood, the Chiron was equipped with a powerful W18 engine that was capable of producing over 500 horsepower. The engine was mated to a six-speed manual transmission and could propel the car from 0 to 60 miles per hour in just 3.9 seconds. The Chiron also featured all-wheel drive and a sophisticated suspension system that allowed for precise handling and exceptional performance.

One of the most striking features of the Chiron was its unique design, which featured a long, sweeping body with dramatic curves and sharp angles. The car also featured a large rear wing that could be adjusted for maximum downforce, as well as a prominent front grille and distinctive Bugatti horseshoe-shaped headlights.

Although the Bugatti Chiron was never produced as a production car, it served as a design study for the company and influenced the development of future Bugatti models. In particular, the Chiron’s powerful engine and sophisticated engineering helped to set the stage for the development of the Bugatti Veyron, which would become one of the most iconic supercars of all time.

And finally, the model car

The 1/43 scale version of this futuristic concept car is exactly how I would expect it to be…very well made and with enough amount of detail, especially for the more than decent price that I paid for it.

The model car is sealed with mobile wheels and active steering, the engine details are quite nice, and the interior looks very detailed.

So I am pleased, very pleased with this model.

But enough about me, check out the pics from this article or even the YouTube clip available on the link below and let me know what you think about the Bugatti EB18.3 Chiron made by AUTOart at 1/43 scale.
