Are you a Designer? Sit through the end credits

We are always in a hurry. The moment your flight comes to a stop, you can hear a 100 seatbelt “clicks”!

Or when a movie ends.

But there is an “incentive” to sit through the end credits. I have always looked forward to opening and end credits in a movie. They set the tone, provide closure or sometimes leave you thinking (yes, we are looking at you Inception!). The designer in me finds a lot of inspiration in the treatment and detailing of those. They are such an important part of storytelling, great for new ideas and inspiration.

Two interesting recent examples come to mind — one from the latest hindi movie “Detective Byomkesh Bakshy!” and another from Hollywood’s “Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs 2”. Bakshy for the use of interesting typography and graphic treatment and Cloudy for amazing humour using stop motion!

While I strongly recommend you experience these on your own, here is an interesting post on the end credits of “Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs 2” — Entertaining End Credits: Cloudy With a Chance of Meatballs 2

Are you also one of those who find inspiration in movie end titles? Would love to hear other interesting examples.

One clap, two clap, three clap, forty?

By clapping more or less, you can signal to us which stories really stand out.
