An Ode to the iPod Classic

I, too, have a beloved 160GB classic that I listen to every day. Recently, it’s started making odd glitches, freezes, noises, etc. Minor, but regular. I fear that my device is slowly losing its power, like a body whose organs have been overworked and is ready to quietly die. This tragedy is all the more painful because there is no replacement, no alternative, no backup option which comes anywhere near the simplicity, functionality, and longevity of a classic iPod. With such incredible advancements in technology, how is it that there is no affordable version of the iPod, even a blatant knockoff, with the same specs, available in our marketplace?
