The Lord is my strength and my shield;

my heart trusts in him, and he helps me.

My heart leaps for joy,

and with my song I praise him.

Psalm 28:7

Strength can be found in doing what is right.

That statement has meant more to me this last semester than at any other point in my life.

But doing what is right means that you have to be different.

It means that people might walk out of your life.

It means that you won’t be liked by everyone.

It means you must no longer live to please the world but live to please God.

Thankfully, we don’t have to try to do what is right alone. We don’t have to be strong alone. When we seek God to help us we can experience real strength. God is my strength and he helps me just as the verse says.

And he will help you too, you only have to ask.
