welcome home

it’s been a long time since you’ve been anybody’s baby. been a long time since you came home to open arms and warm meals. long time since you’ve been catered to, since it’s been about you, since you didn’t have to be prove anything to anyone, since you didn’t have to fight for your place in the sun. it’s been a lifetime since you’ve been gone, since they took you, like they took your father and his father and God knows who else. they called and you had to go, you had missions, you had to become man in the blink of your own eyes. i know it has been a long journey, i know you fought Goliath, i know you failed, i know you had barely any life left in you when you crossed my door but you’re here now. welcome home.
