Ode to the Empty Bottle of Shampoo Still Sitting in My Shower

I know I should rid my shower of it
But like so many other empty things in my life
I forget it is empty.
Sand from my hair circles down the drain
And I’m reminded
Salt seaweed dead birds a sunburn on my shoulders that is stricken by the constant stream of steaming water.
A nearly full bottle of shampoo washes the day away.
The empty bottle of shampoo is useless
Can’t wash for nothing
And will continue to be empty.
Oh, empty bottle of shampoo,
Give me the strength to get rid of you.

One clap, two clap, three clap, forty?

By clapping more or less, you can signal to us which stories really stand out.
