Late Night Ramblings
I’m not a poet; I’m a photographer. I was working last night to come up with a new lead generation verbiage to place in my homepage as part of my marketing plan for 2016. I read somewhere that I should appeal to people’s emotions to get them to buy into what I was offering. Since I photograph family portraits, I was trying to think of family connections as a theme. Instead this is what came out in a slow but steady succession…
Every special moment in your life deserves to be
Cherished
For nothing is permanent and before you know it,
Vanished
What stays true is the
Memory we keep
That feeling of love
So deep
Happy one day
Sad another
I catch myself thinking
Why bother
Make no mistake
The struggle is real
It’s what drives us
To persevere
The fight to move on
Stays in our heart
The cycle goes on
A fresh start
Who am I to say
What matters most
Life is one mysterious host
To each our own
destiny, a calling
Chase it down a path
Hoping
To make sense of our situation
That’s got us knotted in desperation
And then we go back to where we came from
Guided by a belief of freedom
What we find ironically
In this wonderful journey
The power of a fading memory
Which brings back to life and full of energy
What once was
And forever will be
