I’ve also seen a lot of people write about how Medium is intimidating. Which helps, in a strange way.

Some time ago, I found one of those just for fun things online that describes personal hell for each myers-briggs personality type. Here’s what I got:

INFP — Your deepest thoughts and feelings are exposed to a large audience and everyone thinks that you’re pathetic and unoriginal.

Yes, that does sound hellish.

But either there are a lot of INFP types on Medium, or this particular hell is hellish for everyone. Just keep writing though. You will be surprised how much wonderful feedback you will receive.
