This seems to be how to do it

Thank you so much.

There is one more tip I would like to add; raw resonates with people. I like to polish and tweak fiction stories, but when it comes to ‘life’ type of pieces don’t edit it to death. The story that looks perfect is, well, perfect. And no one is perfect. Life certainly isn’t perfect. A perfect life story has an air of fabrication more than any fiction story ever could. The pieces that lingered in my drafts for weeks until I was sure it said exactly what I wanted it to say got a lukewarm reception, while those pieces I wrote and put out in under an hour did really well. Some even made editor’s pick. Don’t think about you words more than you would in a conversation with a friend.
