In the year 1816, Pemberley is renovated to welcome a new member of the Darcy family. Lizzy Darcy was expecting her first child and the later trimester was exhausting her. She was in her chamber for the siesta when Darcy arrived after attending to his estate work. Disturbing the siesta of his dearest Elizabeth was not in his zone of consideration, so he went straight to his study where he found a package waiting for him. He was informed that the rider had dropped it off in the morning while he was out. The parcel was from Bath, the handwriting was neat and feminine, and on scrutiny, it appeared familiar. Darcy guessed that the package was from his cousin Jane from Bath. He uncovered the package to find a book.

The book title said “Pride and Prejudice”. Darcy was curious as to why his cousin had sent him a book. He flipped through the pages and realized that the characters had names similar to or the same as him and his family. Curiosity took the better of him. He sank into the giant luxurious chair behind the desk and started to read the book. As he proceeded with the book, his discomfort escalated proportionately and chapter three turned the discomfort into acute unease.
