Missing My Dad

I miss my Dad so much right now.

I’m resting in the promise of his salvation — that he is face to face with Jesus right now, fully complete and fully satisfied, experiencing an existence better than he ever came close to experiencing here.

But I still miss the guy a heck of a lot.

John 3:16 “For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.”

Romans 8:38–39 “For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord.”

2 Tim 1:9 “He has saved us and called us to a holy life — not because of anything we have done but because of his own purpose and grace. This grace was given us in Christ Jesus before the beginning of time.”

Psalm 62:1 “Truly my soul finds rest in God; my salvation comes from him.”

Acts 2:21 “And everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.”

Romans 10:9–10 “If you declare with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord,” and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you profess your faith and are saved.”

Hebrews 9:28 “So Christ was sacrificed once to take away the sins of many; and he will appear a second time, not to bear sin, but to bring salvation to those who are waiting for him.”

Thank you Jesus for saving my Dad. Thank you God for giving me so many years with him. Thank you for your Word. I need you right now. I always need you, but I especially need you right now. Continue to minister to me through your Word.
