Putting Away the Books to Learn
Jackie Ashton

Being in the manufacturing space ( http://snkamerica.com), I think this is a great idea. Yes, we know that “kids learn by doing”, but I ask, “kids learn what by doing what?”. While partial differential equations (in math) and Gibbs Free Energy (in chemistry) are scientifically interesting, they serve little practical purpose for most people once in the market place. I have countless examples of mfgs who can’t wait for a young skilled workforce to arrive.
