An excerpt from my upcoming novel ‘God of the Sullied’. Will be published in less than a year from now in all likelihood.
“History has witnessed that whenever evil and immoral crossed the limits, God incarnated himself (or) his prophets took birth on earth and saved mankind from being destroyed, by killing the evil (mentality) and showing right direction to all. Ram, Krishna, Jesus, Buddha, Nanak and Mahavira are few of the notable souls this world had witnessed as per several mythologies and archives. It was again time for that God to ponder upon the miserable condition of his people on earth. It was again time for that God to send someone or to reincarnate himself onto earth so as to debunk the claims of the evil, and to put all of the mankind on the face of the earth to the right track. It was again time for that God to restore the faith of humans in humanity, love, peace and equality. This time, it was not going to be easy for Him as there was one God and too many Devils to chastise. Moreover, the killing of the devil in the physical sense was not a solution anymore. It was the ideology that needed to be killed, it was the custom and practice that needed to be killed, it was the stigma and taboo that needed to be killed, it was the greed, lust, anger, hatred, disbelief, conservative thought and vestigial tradition that needed to be killed so as to bring everything back to normal. A modern day Mahabharata was taking shape… less violent yet more painful and catastrophic. This time, the battleground was the entire world. Thank God! legendary Mahabharata remained contained inside Kurukshetra only.”
