Cis man/ciswoman is simply not equivalent to ciswoman/transwoman.
Thank you.

Hello Rose Marie McSweeney,

I was intrigued by this statement. In what sense is “equivalent” being used here. I agree men have different power in society than women. That I think I get, or maybe not? Maybe that isn’t what is meant.

I don’t see how my life as a women of transition is all that different than any female assigned person who fits into the broad spectrum who are called “cis.” Consider the kids who are getting blockers and being socialized from childhood on, and not all cis people are able to give birth, so that is not the deciding factor.

Have I mistaken your position?
