Honda gets top honors from Motor Trend and KBB

With 2015 models already showing up on dealer lots and in the hands of reviewers, Honda has been on a roll in this year’s automotive award season. Last month, the CR-V earned the much coveted Motor Trend SUV of the Year award, and today Kelley Blue Book gave four of its Best Buy Awards to Honda models.

Motor Trend was impressed with the improvements Honda made to the CR-V for 2015, including its efficient Earth Dreams powertrain and Lane Keeping Assist system. The staff at Motor Trend said the CR-V did virtually everything well, being practical, efficient and fun to drive.

Kelley Blue Book reviewers liked the multi-angle backup camera and LaneWatch system which displays real-time video of the vehicle’s right-side blind spot. In their review, they said the 2015 CR-V is “as good as it gets in the compact SUV segment” with a nice balance of power, handling and refinement.

The experts at KBB.com were also impressed with the Civic, naming it their Small Car Best Buy. They said the Civic is a great all-around vehicle, with excellent reliability, advanced safety features, great driving dynamics and a resale value that far outpaces its competitors.

Honda also took home honors for Midsize Car and Minivan Best Buy, with the Accord and Odyssey. They were both praised for their above average driving dynamics and fuel efficiency. Innovative features in the Odyssey such as a built in vacuum cleaner and widescreen entertainment system make it especially family friendly.

For those looking for a great family car that can still handle harsh winters while delivering great fuel economy, the CR-V with all-wheel drive now gets 33 mpg on the highway. Maine Honda dealer Prime Honda has a large selection of new 2015 CR-Vs with AWD and advanced safety features.
