To commemorate Disney’s 100th anniversary, Hyundai has partnered with the storied company to release a limited edition run of 1000 Ioniq 5 electric vehicles. Dubbed the “Disney100 Platinum Edition,” this special version of Hyundai’s popular EV will hit the market in 2024 with a starting price of $59,400.

The Disney100 Ioniq 5 will come loaded with 320 horsepower and all-wheel drive. Hyundai unveiled the concept model at the New York International Auto Show, showing off distinctive design features that pay homage to Disney’s legacy. The concept boasts pixel screens between the head and tail lamps that display magical animations. While these digital elements may not make it to the final production model, Hyundai indicates smaller screens with Disney flair will likely remain.

Limited Edition Ioniq 5

The limited edition Ioniq 5 will sport a Gravity Gold Matte exterior and Mickey ear-shaped wheel covers. Disney100 badges will adorn the fenders, and the moonroof will illuminate with a synchronized light show. Inside, the infotainment screen will display a custom Disney animation and logo on start-up. Disney icons will be etched into the door trim and embroidered on the floor mats.

This creative collaboration represents the first partnership between Disney Imagineering and an automaker. Hyundai designers worked closely with Disney creatives to develop unique visual details for the Ioniq 5. The relationship builds on previous joint campaigns between Hyundai and Disney’s advertising and entertainment brands.

With its blend of innovation and storytelling, the Disney100 Ioniq 5 brings a touch of magic to the road. The limited production run gives fans the chance to own a unique piece of Disney history while experiencing Hyundai’s cutting-edge EV technology. The special edition celebrates 100 years of Disney magic through thoughtful design details and active driving performance.
