I’m saying that we can’t adequately understand software anymore with such primitive techniques and tooling. I’m also saying that the simulation is already taking place within the mind of engineers trying to make sense of such reporting. The human element can’t scale but the approach can be carried over into the machine domain where machines monitor and manage other machines similarly.

On understanding we, well actually the machines, need a language based on the expression of action and intent.
