Every Reason To Be Joyful.
(1st April 2016)
I wrote this on 28th March 2016…
Yesterday morning at church, a friend gave me a cross she’d made for me and a letter. In the letter, she’d wrote about my new identity in Christ and about how much God loves me.
I was just reading through it, and I came to a stop when I read, “…with every reason to be joyful.”
You see, I’m feeling a bit down today. But I know that it’s true. I know that I do have every reason to be joyful, thanks to Jesus. I am saved. God loves me. God is my Father. He has adopted me. I am his child. He will take care of me. God has done everything for us. He has forgiven me. He is always with me. I have a new life. I have peace with God. I am never alone.
I once read that even if God did nothing else for us, we still have every reason to be thankful. It is true. God provided a way out for us. He could have done nothing to save us. He could have destroyed us. He didn’t have to send Jesus in order to reconcile us to himself.
But he has been so merciful and gracious to us. And not only that, but even now he still keeps giving to us and blessing us! He is a generous God.
I know that I have hope for the future, and that I will be with God. I know that he is with me even now. He strengthens me so that I can get through things I think will crush me, and so that I can accomplish things I never thought I could. He has really blessed my life, and I know he will continue to work in me until completion.
So for all of that, I know that I have every reason to be joyful.
Thank you God.
