David,

I assume that you know that we owe this aircraft to one man, much more than all the others who worked on it. His name is David L. Ferguson. Not only was he the first pilot to fly this aircraft, he did most of the cockpit design. I am proud to have been a very close friend of his, I am also a classmate from Aviation Cadet pilot training class 61-E where we both received our wings on Jan. 27, 1961 at Vance AFB in Enid, OK. I wrote the only story of his first flight from a personal interview, it is in my book “The Last of a Breed” and indeed we are! Ferg flew west about four years ago, I miss him a lot.

One clap, two clap, three clap, forty?

By clapping more or less, you can signal to us which stories really stand out.
