Am I the only one?

Normally i write about productivity and self help type stuff but i wondered if anyone else had noticed the cultural phenomenom that is happening outside stores and supermarkets…….that is, pedestrian shoppers who walk out of the store into the road without looking.

Now dont get me wrong, cars should give way to pedestrians and drive super slow in front of the store but shoppers seem to have completely given up on looking both ways and just walk straight out into the road. i wish i could say that cell phones are to blame but it happens with and without the distraction of a phone.

Instead of exiting a store to the parking lot, looking right and left and waiting for the cars to give way to shoppers, they give drivers who dont stand a chance of noticing them a disgusted look after walking directly into the street. To make things more difficult many stores have ornate columns outside the store making visibility severely reduced.

Anyway I think that this has become a cultural virus much worse than it was 5–10 years ago.

DO YOU AGREE AND WHAT OTHER CULTURAL PHENOMENONS HAVE YOU NOTICED CREEPING INTO EVERYDAY LIFE?
