IMPORTANCE OF EARLY CHILDHOOD EDUCATION

Early childhood education is a program designed for children between the age of three to five. The pre-schooling, kindergarten and nursery schooling is a main part of early childhood education. The process of training students in order to enlighten them with knowledge and information is known as education. The role of education has an important part to play in any individual’s life. It helps in shaping a children’s present by opening door of endless possibilities in the future. Early childhood education is a training given to young children to incorporate social, physical and emotional aspects which will be used for a bright future. If the child’s childhood education is done right, there are higher chances of the brain development in early stages. The young mind is like a sponge which has the potential to adapt and absorb a large chunk of information which guides then along the difficult challenges of their respective lives. There are many benefits of a successful early childhood education which are as follows:

· Anglicization: Humans are surrounded with social settings and the concept of socialisation takes place in early childhood. The environment or social surroundings sow the seeds in the young minds, therefore keen attention to the environment in early childhood helps the child boost their confidence and eliminate their shortcomings.

· Holistic Development: It is crucially important for a child to have a strong foundation which helps them build and shape a desirable personality. Human beings are composed of various aspects like social, mental, emotional and physical. Early childhood education helps the child to develop a state which helps them along their beautiful journey of life.

· New perspective: Education helps the individual to develop a entirely different perspective which bridge the gap of traditional fallback with modern fulfilment.

· Respect: The environment in pre-schools helps the child to become civil with one another and understand the concept of respect and humility. Respect is not limited to people but is also relevant to the environment.

· Concentration: The involvement of children in their early childhood education demands higher level of concentration and the repetitive occurrence of activities helps them improve their cognitive and concentration skills.

The role and importance of Early childhood education have gathered the highlight in past few years. The development of brain happens from the child’s birth to age five. The brain is developed during the time like no other time and has a lasting impact on the child’s ability to learn and grasp things. If an individual wants to succeed in life, they are recommended to build a strong foundation which helps them throughout their lifetime. Childhood education is defined as the most crucial element as the child’s brain is ready to grasp and adapt for the future and the environment will state the reason of their success. In terms of development of the human brain, early childhood education cannot be overstated. The education program sets a strong base for the lifelong learning abilities and helps in developing their social and cognitive abilities. The program is more than the preparation of primary schools. In order to develop desirable functional needs, it is important for the child to involve in childhood training programs.

As per the research conducted by UNICEF, there are too few children who are attending pre-school programmes. Despite of the proven benefits of pre-school programmes, the enrolment of children remains very low. Six out of 10 children enrol for early childhood programs. Lack of education hinders the growth of the children drawn back from the deserved opportunities. Education programs are not limited to knowledge of core subjects, but they put forward a guided framework for the route to their success. Early childhood program has the potential to make a big difference in the children’s life. By learning to learn in early stages helps the children prepare them for endeavours. Early child has a right to education and some countries are even supporting their natives by offering free education. Anyone shall not seize the right of children to learn and educate and hinder the growth they are meant for.
