Omg Sara! I literally wrote the same article when I came back to the US and visit my family.

I feel like this was written by somebody I am so close to.

Everything you mentioned— how disconnected people are to the outdoor and to nature, how disconnected people are from one another, how easily people get offended and you feel like you ALWAYS have to be on guard, so much so that your body aches from being so tense all the time…

(I guess it makes sense bc I moved from the city to live on an island in the Caribbean)
