Configuration of XEN Server and XEN client and Performing Live Migration

XenServer is a server virtualization platform that offers virtualization performance for virtualized server and client operating systems that nearly matches the performance of a bare metal servers.

1. Install citrix Xenserver

2. Setup Xen by clicking next until you see Finish button

3. Open Xen Server.

4. Check save and restore server connection state on startup and click ok

5. Click Add Server at top left corner

6. Select Ubuntu version

7. Give it a name (here i have entered my friend name )

8. Click Next

9. Set username and password

10. Now a new vm has been created in Xen Server 1

11. Now we are going to copy to server2

12. Right click on VM that is to be copied and click copy VM

13. Select Xen Server 2 in destination

14. Click next and finish

15. Now AVINASH folder is copied to xen server 2

16. Now Check the Xen Server to check file has been moved to server or not

This confirms that the file has been migrated from one to another server.
