Yes — if we let the markets decide, just about everything that makes America exceptional would never have come to pass — corporate greed and shortsightedness would have prevented the construction of the bridge, Yosemite would be full of condos and golf courses, Hawaii would look more like Long Beach than it already does, and so on. Stewardship is what we need more of, not deregulation.
