The two roads diverge,
Not in the woods, but the
concrete urban sky still smiles
The rays of hope are too dull over here
They fail to shower their light upon the underlying bushes,
Those bushes and shrubs always wandering for the sunlight
Often come out of their much talked about “ambush”
In one of those enchanting and ghastly haunting moonlit nights,
those creepers clutter alongside the path,
those mossy shrubs form their strangest unions ,
just around the place, where the two roads diverge
The lively and curious eyes , swing here and there,
maybe looking for that magical unicorn, with it’s silver horn,
and galloping towards their favorite destination
“Ohh, How i wonder what you are!
Maybe someday, you will carry me with you,
And, i will be sitting with bridle reins
Singing that good old homecoming song…”
The poor thoughts of the craving souls sitting idly on,
the junction of the two roads, with frantic emotions and imaginations
running here and there, but unable to find their favorite direction..
And, just like the Ghetto, the tempest of gloom and injustice, still hovered over the entire country,
These little souls, sat there in the middle of a snowy moonlit night
And i stood there, just witnessing the unique and unusual recipe of life,
Someday, one of those creepers, one of those curious souls, one of them
will gallop along the road through the country side, to their favorite destination, maybe not like that magical unicorn of their dreams
But just like the Black stallion, running into the woods
With it’s skin shining bright in the white sheet of moonlight,
“I think to myself, it’s a wonderful world
But i don’t say it to myself, that it’s a wonderful world..”
