Try Tensorflow 1.0 in just 5 minutes!
Google finally released Tensorflow 1.0 on the 15th Feb 2017. Here I’ve put together an instruction to easily run it with Kitematic and Jupyter. I made sure that examples provided still work with version 1.0.
To get started, download Kitematic from https://kitematic.com/. Windows, Mac or Linux are all fine.

Please follow the installation and launch “Kitematic”. You should see the following screen. You can think of Kitematic as of “App Store”, or “Google Play” for containers. You would need to search for the container named “tensorflow1_jupyter” (I’ve prepared this one, but there are many alternatives). Press “CREATE” to start container.

After that simply follow this link — to open Jupyter with the TensorFlow in your browser.

You can open one of the Notebooks and have a quick look on how TensorFlow works. Also, you can create your own Notebook.

If you’ve never used Jupyter before — then to get started click somewhere on the text inside the Notebook, and then keep hitting Shift+Enter, that would execute Notebook cells. Note that these notebooks work best in Chrome.

If you want to save notebooks you’ve created for later (perhaps you want to export them, mail them to someone or commit to Github), you can do so by using “Volumes” feature in Kitematic.

This would open you local directory which is connected to the Image running in Kitematic — you can copy files to/from here. This will be persistent between container restarts.
Hope this works for you!
