Apple, I love you and all, But..

I’m just going to come out and say it.

Apple has been frustrating me lately.

Back in Steves Day there was always “One more thing”

And we were always excited to hear what it was, and they rarely disappointed.

Lately I feel every Apple Keynote ends with a “But…”

But, is never a good thing.

You watch the Keynote, it’s nice and all.

You can rely on them to release something you want to buy.

But it always ends with a But.

This past Keynote was okay, I liked the camera features on the new iPhones.

I especially liked the direction I could see Apple was going with AR.

My But from this Keynote was the cable.

Yes, a lousy cable.

A cable that I could have purchased with the wall unit for less than $80.

This made me reconsider a $1000 phone.

I’ll explain.

Apple was supposed to be the company that championed the USB-C.

Apple was going to push the last cable we would ever need.

(And then kill it)

They went all in with the Macbooks.

And then they seemed to just pull back.

2 generations of iPhones came and went with USB-A.

2018 was the year.

We had the design specs for a new 18W USB-C fast charger.

It was supposed to fast charge both the iPhone and iPad.

12th Sep.

XS. XS Max. XR.

No USB-C cable. No Fast Charger.

10th Oct: OPPO just came out with Super Dash Charging. 100% in 34 minutes.

(Rumors are that the new iPads will come with USB-C instead of Lightning. If that’s true I’m calling 2019 iPhones with USB-C)

Dear Apple, I don’t know how long I can hold my breath.

If you liked this article please slow clap to show me how much you enjoyed it. The more claps the better. Try double clapping. And would love to hear your thoughts :).
