Alchemy of Souls is played by multiple bright newcomers like Lee Jae Wook (as Jang Uk), Hwang Min Hyun (as Seo Yul), Yoo In Soo (as Park Dang Gu), Arin Oh My Girl (as Jin Cho Yeon), Shin Seung Ho (Crown Prince). Though they are still considered new actors, they portrayed the character accurately and flawlessly. Their characters are lovable and relatable. We can be easily drawn by their emotional acting, and understand their actions as characters. Jung So Min, as always never disappoints! We love our gorgeous queen!
3. Jaw-dropping Cinematography
Alchemy of Souls is produced by Studio Dragon. They were also the ones who produced It’s Okay To Not Be Okay, and Crash Landing On You. For the love of God! they made a masterpiece. I can clearly see that they are using a high-quality camera. I have to give a round of applause for the amazing cinematography. The lake Gyeongcheondaeho, the beautiful houses, the flowers, the waterfall, the mountains, and the seas. There are no words to describe how amazing they filmed these places.
4. The Plot
Alchemy of Souls script is written by Hong Sisters. For all of you who don’t know, Hong Sisters are well-known fantasy Korean drama writers who wrote A Master’s Sun, Hotel del Luna, Korean Oddysey, and My Girlfriend is A Gumiho. Most of their works have high ratings and are widely known among actors. Many of them dying to work on their projects. And, as a person who already watched their works, I must say they never missed. The plots are unpredictable. I have to say that they are on par with a prestigious writer like J.K. Rowling.
5. The CGI
Though I badly want to put the CGI picture, I couldn’t find it from TvN website. There are not many scenes using CGI, but they put them extremely well together. To be exact, they put it in the crucial moments in the storyline. Hence, they blend beautifully into the story. They depict the magic gorgeously. Such as the water flow, the sky, the gleam of the sword, etc.
