This is obvious , west coast offenses have more completions and therefore pass catchers sustain more hits, in Coryells offenses theirs more in-completions and vertical throws which don’t have that many hits. even deep crossing patterns are not as suspect to big hits as 5 or 8 yard cuts and slants where either a LB or safety can hit you.
