Richard I think there definetly is a space for “anonymous” project teams. But in that case (imho) such project teams have a very different motivation, and they would very rarely go out and raise money. Such teams that work and publish anonymously would rather build and release a product first, and let a community coalesce around the product. At least some of the people I know in the industry, who choose to be anonymous, have this mentality. Anyone that has nothing but a basic white paper and chooses to be anonymous (and is an unknown entity i.e. has not contributed to Ankur known project) should be a huge red flag!

I ask you one question, when you were promoting InChain last year, would you have done so if you did not know the team or if that team’s’ deck did not have a team slide with verified people? Just curious to know.
