Six (6) guidelines for deciding your career

1. Find your passion and align it with your career

2. Decisions are very unique to each person, what’s right for one isn’t right for the other

3. Own your decisions: Don’t let other people make decisions for you and don’t blame anyone else

4. Do an internship before pursuing a higher degree to confirm if you like that field/industry

5. Don’t do PhD if you want to be an entrepreneur or work in corporate sector

6. Spend at least one year in your first job

I shared the 6 guidelines with my friend Hubban who is student of control engineering at COMSATS Islamabad, which I got from sohail rizvi lectures is that there is no one perfect at the job at very first day. And I incorporated with him that my friend also have faced the same situation during studies as like to Sohail Rizvi. I shared the life story of Sohail Rizvi with him. And told him that try to find your passion now during your studies because it become easier for you after studies that which job will be better for you. And take the very precise and right decision by finding your skill at which you are best as he has faced a lot of issues like these in hi bachelors. I remember the time when his brother asked him to leave the studies and come to KSA that there is no benefit you will get from education. But his elder brother and I encouraged him that don’t worry about your expenses if you want to do it then you will do it and after that you think that how I made it possible because if you have really a passion towards something then it doesn’t matter how much rich you are. And I also shared the thoughts of Amal mentor that you must work even for 15000 but must spent one year over there because it will be great learning for you. And Thanks him for giving me time to share these thoughts.
