Have you ever started something new and felt like you were on an exciting journey? Well, that is exactly how I felt when I joined Amal Fellowship. The first two weeks have been full of learning and meeting amazing people.

In this blog, I’ll love to share what were the best experiences for me during this time. It’s like showing you a little bit of what’s happening behind the scenes of this amazing journey. Whether you’re thinking about joining the program or just curious, I’ll tell you why the beginning is so special. Get ready to feel inspired and learn more about my adventure!

Self Reflection;

Life Map

In the very first week of the Amal Fellowship’s journey we drew a life map which was showing our happy and sad moments of life. By doing this activity I got to know when I felt happy as well as when I felt sad in my whole life. In this activity I go through my whole life. I enjoyed this feeling which could not be described in words. This activity helped me to understand the reasons for my happiness and sadness. As a result I got to know my priorities, my goals and the purpose of my life.

Developing Confidence;

Raising hand to boost confidence

In the very first session of the Amal Fellowship, our facilitators made a rule that there would be no right and wrong answer in this class and participants’ response is the answer. It ended my fear of speaking and encouraged me to boost confidence. After that I always tried to raise my hand even though I knew 20% of the answer. It boosts my confidence. Now, whenever a teacher asks a question in class I raise my hand even though I knew a little bit about the answer. It made me a lifelong learner.

Understanding Others Perspective;

Why it is important to see a situation from other person’s point of view?

Before joining Amal Fellowship I was a fixed mind person. I never tried to understand the other’s perspective. In the second week of the fellowship our facilitators divided us into two teams. There were two teams. First team’s perspective was that Amal is more important to achieve goals. The other team’s perspective was that Khudi is important to achieve goals. Then the facilitator said that both teams will support opposite point of view and give a presentation. We thought the opposite of our points of view. We placed ourselves in the situation of other people. From this activity we learned how to understand the other people’s perspective and why it is important.

In these first two weeks of the Amal Fellowship, I’ve had some amazing experiences and met great people. This is just the start of my adventure, and I’m excited about what’s next. If you’re thinking about joining a program like this, go for it! It’s worth it. Thanks for following my journey, and I can’t wait to share more with you soon. Stay tuned for more fun stories and discoveries!
