The day my WiFi went out( a short story on social addiction) By Andrew Wilson
I felt dehydrated like a man on his voyage in the desert i was stranded i couldn’t call nor text anyone even if i did who would pick up,
i couldn’t even keep relationships i was pushing everyone out i looked for an escape route which i ended up finding but that lasted for some days then ended blowing up in my face i thought i was moving forward but i was trapped in the infinite maze
where no one could find me i screamed out my friend’s names but no one replied i felt ignored then a shadowy female figure approach me from the corners and said to me hey Zachary are you lost i looked at her and screamed why would you ignore me am i terms and conditions, but she paid no mind she was a social media fanatic she had more followers than dollars in her bank account she had more likes than friends in real life she said to me why do you speak to me you are supposed to adore me what’s your handle let me show you the finesse in my pictures I’ll leave your jaws dropping she says, she was stunning, her beauty was magazine cover worthy but she wanted to be a mean girl so bad it messed up her inner beauty, back to my story i was left with no water, devilish sunlight and some dumb chick that wasted all her battery on posting to her thousands of followers but what position was i to criticize her she’s was my walking carbon copy just with more followers and more beauty so that’s the story on the day my WiFi went out
i mean having a fan base is nice and all but what kind of fan base is built on fake relationships and fake dialogues i love social media but it tends to have an unhealthy effect on people with low self respect.
