Make them wait assignment
The sixth time I was murdered that week was probably the least painful, but it was also the most personal. Nothing had compared to what he felt. It was if someone had plunged a knife straight into his heart and twisted the end. He was in shock of what just happened. Stepping backward he slipped and fell on the Ice. Zach quickly snapped back to reality and sprinted to the edge of the river, furiously scanning the area to find someplace to hide. Out of the corner of his eye he spotted an old church. He made his way through the snow with each step he heard he tried to increase his speed. Making it to the church was the only he knew he would be safe from it. He punched the doors open and ran inside then quickly leaning back to ensure the doors would close. Zach was sure the church would stop it, he hoped, he thought at least. The church looked abandoned. Inch thick layers of dust covered most of the furniture. Self defense was the first thing he needed. looking around the church all he could find was a long candle holder and a whole bunch of books. “kill him with words he thought.” Frowning now he was laughing at his own jokes. As he approached the stairs he found what appeared to be an old rusty sword it wasn’t much but he guessed it would have to do. Picking up the sword caused the ground to shake. He sprinted to the middle of the church ready at every angle. Suddenly a hand came rising out of the ground followed by a giant black figure. His heart sank, he didn't want to fight his best friend. ////Zach dived out of the way hiding behind a nearby pillar. Cautiously sneaking behind a row of church benches, he made his way to the basement entrance. Walking down the cold stone staircase he was careful to not to make a peep. The walls seemed to enclose around him. He knew it was a spiral staircase, but that didn’t stop it from making him feel like he was an optical illusion. His breath became short. He started to feel the condensation coming from his breath, cold against his skin. Zach felt it now this staircase was a trap!//// Suddenly stopping, he started to backtrack as he raced up the steps. That didn’t work either! He found himself ascending an infinite staircase. Zach stopped again to catch his breath. How could this have happened? He was careful to check for the signs of a illusion. There was no way he could’ve possibly missed something that obvious. Thinking back to his class he realized that he left on the last day that they were covering the illusion effect. His heart froze with fear could the affect have been this advance that he couldn't even see it?
