To add to that, when you remove the profit motive, you remove the incentive to innovate. You remove the incentive for a business to make a better product. You remove the incentive to make cheaper products. You guys look at profit like it’s this evil thing, but profit is the root of why we have such high standards of living. It’s what creates jobs. It’s what allowed us to fit 30 different tools and a computer inside our pockets all at the same time. Without profit there’s very little incentive for everyone to help create a better world. How much innovation occurred before Capitalism was born? Nearly none. We’d go centuries without big innovation.
